I love supporting people in creating their best lives possible.
Through the wonders of technology, I work with people wherever in the world they might be. I keep my practice small and intensive, so that I can offer each individual, couple, and family with whom I work powerful, personalized attention and strategies for growth.
Although I am trained and licensed in psychotherapy, my approach reflects a coaching model. Years of university teaching and supporting students shape my education-oriented, skills-based style. In private work, expect warm, compassionate, intelligent support, clear and direct suggestions, enthusiastic encouragement, and powerful, honest guidance designed to help you achieve the goals you define and the life you design. If your goal is to maintain a relatoinship with a disordered person or family, my goal is to help you do that in ways that are growth-oriented, harmonious, and fluent in the skills that social science confirms as helping relationships function well. If your goal is to decide on whether to exit a toxic relationship, to navigate a break-up, divorce, or restructuring, my goal is to help you do that in ways that ensure your success, safety, and forward momentum.
Here are examples of the kinds of people I help:
I believe that your time is valuable. You seek out coaching because you want hope, relief, and progress in the direction of change sooner rather than later. You're already suffering, feeling stuck in problematic patterns, and facing troubling questions. It is true that the answers are inside you already --- but sometimes you need someone to help you figure out how to listen to them, as well as some additional tools and skills to take action on your answers. I would be delighted to be that someone for you.
