Overview
Registration is now open for the three-session high- impact first class in our 2018 mini-course series on Boundaries, Boundaries 101: Foundational Work.
Many of us struggle with "boundaries." We have trouble defining them, setting them, holding them, and protecting them. We can feel like "bad people" for setting and holding limits, and fear that others won't like us if we have and hold boundaries. Conversely, we may struggle to accept others' boundaries and feel rejected or fearful when someone we love establishes a boundary.
In this foundational class on boundaries, we'll explore what they are, why we need them, how to set and keep them (guilt-free!), and how to accept the boundaries of others gracefully. We'll unpack some of the emotional drama that surrounds boundary-setting and practice holding boundaries in ways that are clear, kind and compassionate. You'll leave the class with a better understanding of what healthy boundaries are, why they are important, and how to establish and cherish them. This is the first of three min-courses on boundaries we'll offer this year, and it is foundational. It's appropriate for people of all ages, including teens 15 and older, and folks who are single and in relationships, of all sexual and gender identities.
In each session, we'll have one hour of class content and 20 minutes of open-coaching/workshopping for class members to explore specific situations in which they'd like a deeper dive into boundary questions. Each class session will be recorded and available for replay for enrolled members of the class. All classes will be held on a Zoom webinar platform; students can participate via audio and/or video/audio connection.
